Products I’ve used up lately & my thoughts on each one (#5)
(Please note: This post contains some affiliate links.)
Before I get into my recent empties, I want to share that Vitacost (where you can find many of the products I’m about to talk about) is running a holiday beauty sale right now. You can save $5 off a $30 purchase using the code HOLIDAYGLAM.
i actually have way more empty products than I realized, so let’s dive right in!
This is a really great primer, and I will definitely order more of it ASAP. I find that it helps my makeup to stay on longer, and it provides a really nice smooth base.
Method Limited Edition Mimosa Sun Hand Wash (see similar here)
I usually run through body washes very quickly, but this one lasted me for almost two months. I liked the scent but prefer to use handmade bar soaps lately, so I haven’t repurchased this wash.
I’ve repurchased this multiple times now and really love it. It is inexpensive, thick, creamy, and not drying at all. I think it is the perfect cleanser for the dryer fall and winter months.
This lotion had a pleasant scent and absorbed into the skin quickly. That’s the good. And the bad? I couldn’t stand how it came in spray form, and the amount of lotion that came out with each spritz was so minuscule that I finally started unscrewing the cap and pouring it into my hands before each application. I wanted to do a happy dance when I finished it and definitely won’t use it again.
This scores a 2 on Think Dirty, and it is a nice, average, moisturizing conditioner that you can actually find in Target or Amazon. I’m testing out some other conditioners right now, but I’d use this again.
I love this oil, and I am going to purchase a travel sized bottle to keep in my hospital bag for labor. I’ve talked it to death lately, so you can read my full review.
This lip gloss is very light and not sticky at all, and I like to layer it over lipstick. Just be warned that it wears off very quickly, so you’ll need to reapply often.
Yep, I went through yet another one of these! (Review is here.) Believe it or not, I haven’t purchased another one yet because I have been moisturizing with oils a lot lately. I’ll do a post on that soon if you’re interested!
I adored the smell of this lotion, but working it into my skin took forever! I guess the formula is different from the mandarin vanilla one and unfortunately, not in a good way.
I received a sample of this body scrub in a Petit Vour box and thought it was really nice. I doubt that I’ll buy a full-size because I like some other scrubs just a bit more.
I actually did buy this again because I found a great deal at Marshall’s, but honestly, I really have no clue if it is making an difference in my skin.
A lot of people rave about this mascara. It is definitely volumizing, but for me, the formula is a little too wet and therefore messy. If that doesn’t bother you, definitely give it a try.
This is such a great concealer, and I’ve blogged about it in a past favorites post. I’m on my third one now but mistakenly ordered it in cool, and it’s way too light for me. Lesson learned!
Have you tried any of the products that I mentioned? What is your favorite nontoxic mascara?
