September 2015 Favorites

I think that I have a record number of favorites (for me) this month. Maybe I have been shopping and eating too much?
Speaking of eating, when I said that I’d make food favorites an occasional thing, I didn’t think that such an occasion would come up so quickly. I just have so many good food items this month that it would be a crime if I didn’t share!
So here are my food, beauty, and miscellaneous health favorites for September…
I have no self-control when it comes to this stuff. None. It is so good and way too addictive. They also have a pumpkin flavor that I’m already scared to try because I have a feeling that I’ll love that too.
I polished off an entire box of these packets in September and just went ahead and ordered two more. I’ve been adding them to my morning smoothies for an extra dose of probiotics, greens, vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, and I swear that it has made a difference in my physical appearance and energy. I thought that this powder would taste very “green”, but it truly just tastes of chocolate- which is never a bad thing. It also comes in a berry flavor, but that one doesn’t sound as appealing to me. Let me know if you’ve ever had that one!
I’m not much of a nut butter fan, but when I add a few tablespoons of Peanut Butter Slim (along with Greens +) to my smoothies, it is perfection. The combination is like a healthy peanut butter cup milkshake. Because it is a powder, it blends in perfectly. I hate when my peanut butter gets stuck to the side of my blender. Such problems.
We take a weekly family visit to The Fresh Market on Saturdays, and for months, I saw a huge sign promoting these grapes. I was always slightly intrigued, so I finally decided to try one of their samples. Oh. My. Goodness. Mind you, I was probably six years old the last time that I had cotton candy, but as far as I can recall, these grapes are accurately named. I actually spent $24 in grapes alone this past weekend, so I could freeze them and have them as a snack once they are out of season.
You can read my recent post all about rose hip oil to find out all of the reasons why it is so awesome, but I just had to include it today because it has truly become an essential part of my beauty routine. It is rare that a product makes a noticeable physical difference, but I feel like my skin has been looking so much better since I started using this oil.
I’m a total lip gloss girl but hate how most of them are so sticky. This gloss isn’t sticky whatsoever and adds such a pretty shine to the lips. The only downside is that it has to be reapplied often, but to me, that is small price to pay for not having my hair stuck to my lips on a windy day.
Of all the Love & Toast products I’ve used, this one is my favorite. I like scent and especially enjoy how silky my hands feel when I use it (rather than heavy and greasy). I predict that this will be a handbag staple for quite some time.
I sometimes like to wear a lip liner to define my lips and prevent my lipstick from bleeding, and I am really pleased with this one by Honeybee Gardens because it is very creamy and long-lasting. By the way, Honeybee Gardens is a really good natural brand, and the prices are very comparable to drugstore.
Miscellaneous Health Favorites
A free sample of this probiotic was sent to me a few months ago, and I finally used them consistently all throughout September. I’ve been into probiotics for several years now for digestive health, and I’ve tried my fair share and have to say that these are really good (and pretty decently priced).
As you probably know already, I religiously practice oil pulling. I like to switch up the oils that I use, and this past month, I mostly used this oil by GuruNanda. I’m actually using avocado oil right now, and I miss the GuruNanda tremendously because it always makes my mouth minty and clean. If you’re new to oil pulling, I highly recommend starting with this oil.
I hope you’re still with me after all of that! Please let me know about some of your favorites from the month of September in the comments.
