Shop for a cause: Breast Cancer Awareness Month

(Please note: This is not a sponsored post.)

I love to shop (which is not a secret), but sometimes I do suffer from “Buyer’s Remorse” after I buy something (especially if that “something” is for myself).  Like most people, I just don’t like wasting money or spending it on foolish wasteful things.

However, I never regret buying things, such as the items below, because I know that my money is going toward a great cause.  In this case, I’m talking about breast cancer research.

I am so happy that such great companies are taking part in Breast Cancer Awareness Month by supporting the research needed to find a cure, and as consumers, we can do the same.

Here are some great ways to shop for the cause!

Shop for a cause- Breast Cancer Awareness Month 2014

Bobbi Brown Pretty Pink Ribbon Lip Gloss

With every purchase of the Pretty Pink Ribbon Lip Gloss Collection, Bobbi Brown will donate $12 to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Recovery Complex II with Pink Ribbon Bracelet

For each purchase, Estée Lauder will donate 20 percent of the suggested retail price to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation from August 2014 through June 2015.

Palmer’s Cocoa Butter

The brand (a long time favorite of mine) will be donating 15 percent of the sales price (with a minimum donation of $100,000) from specially-marked bottles of its core Cocoa Butter Formula products to Susan G. Komen beginning October 2014 through June 2015.

Plum Pretty Sugar

Purchase any Plum Pretty Sugar item in Pink Love Poppy over $50 and receive a free “Hello Pretty” tote. 15 percent of your purchase will also be donated to Susan G. Komen. Enter YOUAREPRETTY14 at checkout.

Aerie Pink Charley Bra

100 percent of the sales go to Bright Pink, a non-profit that focuses on early detection and prevention of breast and ovarian cancers in young women.

Jane Iredale Smell the Roses Hydration Spray

100 percent of profits from the sales of Smell the Roses Hydration Spray are donated to Living Beyond Breast Cancer.

Joe’s Jeans Breast Cancer Awareness Scarf

JOE’S Jeans is helping to honor Breast Cancer Awareness Month by donating 100 percent of net proceeds from the sale of this super soft scarf to FORCE.

Estee Lauder’s Modern Muse Solid Perfume Compact

100 percent of the sales will be donated to breast cancer research.

Stella and Dot Strength Bracelet

100 percent of net proceeds through October benefit the Noreen Fraser Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to raising funds for women’s cancer research and creating awareness of the importance of early detection.

You can also show your support for all of those who have been affected by breast cancer by sporting a little pink on your nails with Essie’s Breast Cancer Awareness Mini 4-Pack.

And of course, you can always donate to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation or Susan G. Komen directly.

If you or someone close to you has been impacted by breast cancer in some way, I am sending you much love and support.

Together, we will find a cure!
