Some of my skin care & hair care essentials for travel

Hi!

My family and I took a little mini-vacation to Charleston, South Carolina this past weekend.  Much to my disappointment, I didn’t see any of the Southern Charm cast members- though I was certainly on high alert the whole time.

I was pretty proud of myself for packing lightly, but there were some skin care and hair care essentials that I knew I had to bring…no matter what.

Hair & skin care travel essentials

Ursa Major Fantastic Face Wash

I received a sample of this face wash in my last Petit Vour box, and honestly, I wasn’t overly excited to try it because I was perfectly content with my Earth Science cleanser.  Well, now I am hooked on this Ursa Major cleanser and definitely intend on purchasing the full size bottle.  It is a very refreshing and brightening, and I just really enjoy the way that my skin feels after I use it.  By the way, I’ve been double cleansing my face at night for a few weeks now, and I have been using this wash after I cleanse with an oil.

Mad Hippie Vitamin C Serum

I’m actually testing this serum out right now, so I can do a thorough review for you.  However, I will tell you that I really enjoy it so far, and it is much better than the vitamin C serum that I was previously using.

Josh Rosebrook Balance Shampoo & Conditioner

These are some other products that I am trying out to review on the blog.  I actually used them for the first time in Charleston and pretty much fell in love immediately, so I cannot wait to report back in a few weeks after I’ve used them more!

Kari Gran Hydrating Tonic

This really came in handy on Saturday when the humidity was insane, and we had been walking around outside all day because it made my skin feel a little rejuvenated.  You can read my full thoughts on this product in my review.

Kypris Antioxidant Dew

I absolutely cannot wait to dedicate an entire post to this product.  It is no exaggeration to say that it is one of the most incredible products that I have ever used on my skin.   The glass bottle that you see in the picture is full-sized, a bit pricey, but worth every penny. If you have normal or oily skin, this can serve as both your serum and your moisturizer.  Some days, I can get away with just using this, but on most days, I apply a moisturizer as well.

Rose Hip Seed Oil

This has made such a difference in my skin as far as diminishing smile and frown lines that I was almost scared to be without it for even just two nights.  I lightly pat a few drops into my skin (focusing on any problem areas) in the morning and at night, and I am all set.  See my post all about rose hip seed oil here.

Meow Meow Tweet Body Oil

I like to apply this body oil in the lavender lemongrass scent at night time to help me relax before bed.  Even though it is an oil, it actually absorbs into the skin pretty quickly.  I’ve always had pretty soft skin, but I swear that this has made it feel even softer- even MT commented on it the other day.

Kari Gran Cleansing Oil

As I wrote above, I have been using a cleansing oil as part of my two-step cleansing process at night, and this is the first step.  I’m really excited to see how well it works during the winter time when my face gets extremely dry.  I have a feeling that it will be a lifesaver!
