The best thing I ate this week & links I’m loving

I have a ton of go-to recipes, which I store in a program called MacGourmet (if you’re interested).  Even though MT and I have our favorites, I still try to make at least one new dish a week.

Last night, MT commented on how I’ve made a lot of really good new recipes lately, and I thought it might be fun to start sharing some of them with you on a regular basis. Plus, most of the recipes come from blogs, and it will be a great way to show some very deserving bloggers a little love.


The best thing I ate this week

On Thursday night, I made Quinoa Fried Rice– a recipe that Andrea from Glam Hungry Mom recently posted.

You know that you’ve made a real winner when your husband interrupts you multiple times during the course of a meal to tell you how much he likes it.

But he’s not the only one who loved it.  I was seriously scraping every last bit out of the pan and right into my mouth when I was transferring the leftovers into a container.  And speaking of leftovers, we had the rest of the quinoa last night, and it was just as good as it was the night before.

I followed Andrea’s instructions exactly as posted, but I did use Bragg Liquid Aminos instead of soy sauce.

Hopefully, you’re already convinced that you should make this recipe for yourself, but just in case, I need to point out that this meal is not only delicious- it is also very healthy.

So, if you’re looking for a super simple meal to make for yourself and/or your family this week, this one is a winner!
