Three new food finds (salad, soup, & Kombucha)

As you know, I’ve been going out for lunch a lot lately.  It’s probably not the healthiest thing in the world (although I do try to make healthy decisions), but it has helped me discover a couple of new yummy things…

Let me preface this by letting you know that I absolutely love Panera’s seasonal salmon salad (or any salad with salmon really).  I was so excited when I saw a commercial announcing its return to their menu…and so majorly disappointed when I learned that Charlotte is a test market and won’t be carrying it.

Devastated would actually be more accurate.

(Sad but true…)

Panera sort of made up for it though with a salad that I ordered as part of the “you pick two combo” earlier this week when I met Brittney for lunch.

Unfortunately, I don’t remember the name of the salad, and it doesn’t seem to be on their current online menu.  If you’re curious, I’m pretty sure that it included blue cheese crumbles, turkey, mixed greens, and pine nuts.

The second new find is Panera’s butternut squash soup.

As I’ve mentioned many times before, their black bean soup is my favorite, but when I saw the butternut squash option on their menu, I had to try it.

I’m so glad that I strayed from my usual order.  That soup is incredible!

(Notice the stripes?)

By the way, the weather was absolutely gorgeous that day, so we sat outside and played catch-up while I admired Brittney’s adorable baby bump.

My mother-in-law and I lunched at Earth Fare’s salad and hot bar yesterday, and that is when I fell in love with my third new find- Berry Guava Kombucha by Celestial Seasonings.

Honestly, Kombucha is usually a miss for me taste-wise, but this one was most definitely a hit.  I cannot wait to try the other flavors!

Have you discovered any new restaurant items, store-bought foods, or beverages lately?  Please share!

I have an amazing giveaway coming tomorrow, so be sure to check back!

(Don’t let my enthusiasm fool ya… I wasn’t asked to review these items, and I wasn’t compensated in any way to write this post.)
