What I’m loving lately

Before I share all of the products that I’ve been loving lately, I need to warn you that the list is a little heavy on the coconut.

Actually, the majority of the things below relate to coconut in some way.

I don’t know what it is with me and coconut lately.  I didn’t even include coconut oil, coconut water, and coconut flour because I was afraid that I’d seem a bit too obsessed.

This is getting almost as bad as my pumpkin addiction!

What I'm loving lately

1. Trader Joe’s coconut oil spray

I’ve been using this spray like mad lately.  It’s great for cooking fish, vegetables, poultry, and sweet potatoes.  I even spray it on my popcorn!

2. Coconut sugar

Coconut sugar has a very similar taste to brown sugar.  It has a lower glycemic index than regular cane sugar and honey, and it is rich in potassium, zinc, and vitamins B2, B3, and B6. I love adding it to my oatmeal, smoothies, and even my coffee.

3. Trader Joe’s coconut body butter

This body butter is super moisturizing, smells great, and it’s less than five dollars.  I’m already on my second tub of it, and I’ll definitely continue to purchase it.  Fingers crossed that Trader Joe’s doesn’t discontinue it.  They have a way of doing that to me!

4. That’s it (natural fruit bars)

I’m always up for trying a new nutrition bar, so I was really excited when I learned about That’s it.  Just like my beloved Larabar and KIND, That’s it uses very minimal ingredients in their bars which is always a plus.  They have a very chewy consistency and are pretty sweet, and at just around 100 calories, these bars make the perfect on-the-go snack.

5. Jane Iredale Amazing Base Loose Mineral Powder

Believe it or not, I had never used any Jane Iredale products until a few weeks ago.  The last thing that I needed was another mineral foundation, but after hearing such positive reviews about this one for so long, I finally caved in and bought it.   Well, thank goodness for my lack of willpower because this foundation is incredible!  It applies smoothly, has very buildable coverage, and unlike a lot of mineral foundations, it doesn’t look cakey or powdery.  I’m officially in love and cannot wait to try more products from the Jane Iredale line.

Have you ever tried Jane Iredale cosmetics?  I’d love to hear your recommendations regarding what I should purchase from the company next!

Have a great day,

erin

I just bought my first jar of coconut oil from trader joes!!! We will see how it goes!

  2. I loooove me some coconut as well! Never tried cooking with it though, I may have to start!

  3. I have been dealing with exposed nerves in my back and talk about skin issues to go along with it – have to try TJ’s body butter – using Aveeno’s right now that has coconut and shea butters. Mr. Craves is not a fan of coconut, so have to go on the down low with it and that includes even wearing it. Happy Tuesday – thanks so much for sharing – by the way lover of coconut and pumpkin too:)

  4. Okay, definitely need to make a trip to Trader Joe’s now!

  5. Those bars and the coconut sugar are definitely 2 things I would like. I never wear mineral powders, but dang it, somehow you sell me on things so easily. Checking it out! haha

    • We’re dangerous for each other when it comes to wanting to shop for things. It is probably a good thing that we don’t live close to one another…or we’d be broke! 🙂
