What’s in my hand bag? (summer edition)

I don’t know about you, but a lot of what I carry in my hand bag seems to change with the seasons.  During the summer time, many of the things that I keep in there are geared toward sun protection, as you’ll see.

The bag that I am currently using is a Louis Vuitton Neverfull MM in Damier Ebène canvas.  It was definitely not cheap, but it is a classic type of bag that I plan to use forever which makes it worth the investment.  At least, that is how I justify it.

By the way, I keep any of the messier items you’re about to see in a pouch within my bag, so it doesn’t get dirty.

And here is what I have inside my bag…

Whats in my handbag- summer edition

Sunglasses

(The ones that I have are by Tory Burch– a birthday gift from MT last year)

Keys

Hair Tie

(I always inevitably pull my hair back- even when I style it.)

Badger Sunscreen

(My friend Lindsay got me hooked!)

LAVANILA Travel Deodorant

(Something I definitely don’t need to carry in the winter!)

Beach Babe Lip Balm

(This is my favorite!  I love how it is gluten free and contains SPF 15.)

Almonds

(A healthy, melt-proof, emergency snack food.)

EO Essential Oil Products Organic Hand Sanitizer

(A necessity year-round.)

Baseball Cap

(For masking frizzy hair days and last minute visits to the playground. Let’s go, Yankees!)

iPhone 6

(I have a Body Glove case on it in the color raspberry.  I’ve been known to drop my phone a time or two, and this really protects it.  Anything to avoid the Apple Genius Bar!)

Kate Spade Wallet

I got such a great deal on this wallet by shopping the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale this year!  Unfortunately, it is now back to full price.  Anyway, I not only got the wallet for a discount, but I also got money back by shopping through Splender, a site that gives cash back on online purchases.  There are over 800 popular stores to choose from, including my beloved Vitacost! Many times, there are even online coupon codes for you to use.  Being a coupon fanatic, that makes me really happy.    It is free to join the site, and all you have to do to use it is:

1. Select a store at the Splender site.
2. Click a deal or offer you want and you’ll be transferred to that store’s website.
3. Complete your purchase on the store’s website as you normally would.
4. The store then pays Splender a commission for sending you there to shop.
5. Splender shares that money with you in the form of cash back.

Easy!

  1. I have to check out Splender now – you have such great website recommendations – thanks!

My purse needs an overhaul and it is too heavy to carry, so need to do a switch up. I get why my backpack is heavy in carrying a 12 pound camera, but my purse feels like 30 pounds some days.

Love that your phone case is raspberry – mine is hot pink. I had hubbie with me and a gentleman helping me with the purchase of my new phone. Both of them were trying to get me to buy a black case. Hello! black case in black lining of a purse so not happening. My wallet is green. I think hubbie gets it now – ha!

    Happy Day – Enjoy 🙂

    • Let me know if you use Splender! I love it because they pay out more frequently than some other similar websites (as long as you have at least $10 in cash back). 🙂

  2. I got my Kate Spade wallet at Nordstrom Rack. Gotta love a good deal! I think I always carry almonds and hand sanitizer with me, but travel deodorant…now there is a good idea!
